Memorial Day

I hope everyone is enjoying the day with their families and friends, but more than that I hope we're all taking a minute to remember our loved ones we've lost, especially our fallen soldiers. I may be against war, but I do appreciate the sacrifice our young men and women in uniform make for the rest of us. We owe them much better than they're getting - better benefits, better equipment, and we should never send them into harm's way unnecessarily. I hope we do better for them in the future.

Thank you for posting again! You are one of my favorite bloggers on Goddess topics (politics too). It is good to know you are back in action. May this year bring your more joy and less sorrow than last year.

Thanks for saying this for me, Morgaine. My sentiments exactly. IMO, it makes no sense for one country to fold up its military machine as long as there are other countries keeping their machines spit polished daily.

We need multilaterial military disarmament. All countries reducing their military machines at the same rate at the same time.

The mess the world's in at the moment is due to a few ancient militarized groups wiping out all the peaceful groups who failed to arm themselves appropriately and were unable to get the militarized groups to disarm.

So nice to see you blogging again, Morgaine. I'll switch your blog out of the inactive category ("Sleeping Dogs") on my blogroll, and put it back in the "Friendly Dogs" category, where it rightfully belongs.

Phil
