The parallels between Stu and Justin - artists leaving a glamorous life for true love- can't have escaped CowLip. As with Stu, Justin's new love will be short lived. I believe it's Justin's "one brief, shining moment". The character of Justin is as good as it can get, and Randy is perfectly in tune with it. Justin will return to Brian a little wiser and a little more grounded. He'll have a new understanding of what really defines love. And he'll always have breakfast in bed - a red rose, dark chocolate, and a beautiful young man with a violin.

	Like most of the women who watch QAF, I've always identified with Justin. He's the Gay boy we all wish we could be - especially where Brian Kinney is concerned. We admire his courage, we understand his motivations, but most of all, we love that he's "chosen". It's the Cinderella myth for us. Justin is supposed to be a throw-away for Brian. No Commitment, no relationship, "just a fuck". Happily, it doesn't turn out that way. We even got to be the "Belle of the Ball" when Brian swooped elegantly in wearing a tux and sweeping Justin literally off his feet in front of the whole Senior Class. Chosen. Golden. Glorious.
My real appreciation of Randy, however, started in November when he attended Theas's show at The Top O' The Senator. He's just luminous, and very shy. I didn't speak to him, except to slip past him to get up to the front of the room and tell him his hair looked great. And it does. He was always a good looking kid, but now he has a romantic quality about him that's just wonderful.
Best of all, we'll have a new appreciation for a beautiful young man who's grown into himself and his craft right before our eyes.
