Hold Mercenaries and War Profiteers accountable for Gang Rape
Help hold contractors accountable
Hi,
Jamie Leigh Jones was working in Iraq for a subsidiary of Halliburton when she was drugged and brutally gang-raped by several coworkers.
For the last two years, she's been asking the US government to hold the perpetrators accountable, but the men who raped her may never be brought to justice because Halliburton and other contractors in Iraq aren't subject to US or Iraqi laws.
I just signed a petition urging Congress to investigate the rape of Jamie Leigh Jones, hold those involved accountable, and bring US contractors under the jurisdiction of US law. Can you join me at the link below?

Thanks!

Jeesh there's just so much to sweep clean. Sometimes I see why Jumpin' Jehovah served up the flood. Just wipe it all away and start over again.
I've been in a blue funk since I watched Gore Vidal a few days ago interviewed on some TV show I'd never seen before. What sticks in my mind is Mr. V saying, "Of course the 2008 elections are going to be rigged! They've had 12 years to perfect the rigging!"
But if all our politicians are bought and paid for by Big Oil and Big Money anyway, what difference does it make if the elections are rigged?
I think it's a vicious circle: Big Money "elects" all our politicians (unbeknownst to us of course), and our "elected" politicians vote constantly to keep Big Money Big and Powerful ... so that Big Money can again "elect" all our politicians.....
There must be some way to break this circle.
But what?
