5 Workers Die, 1 Escapes Ky. Mine Blast - Yahoo! News

Goddess bless these workers and their families. No one should have to live through this. My grandfather worked in the mines all his life, and he once said that he'd rather see his sons on the front lines in Viet Nam than to see them go down in those mines. This is the third mining accident in Eastern Kentucky in the last couple of months.

What really pisses me off about this is that the Bush Administration, in its infinite greed and stupidity, recently pushed through a reduction of the fines charged to mine owners for safety violations. I'm so sick of profit coming before the people in this country. These damned Republicans never saw a law they didn't want to break, or a dollar they didn't feel entitled to, and they don't care who has to die to line their pockets.

I just pray that the voting machines aren't so corrupted that we can vote a bunch of these sons of bitches out of office in November.
