The Women's Kingdom: In China, how free can a woman be? | PBS

Thanks to Athana for the link!
The Mosou are a matriarchy living in the mountains of China. They don't practice traditional marriage, and the group is Matrilocal. There's a wonderful twenty minute film of about their village on this page that I highly recommend. Just look at how strong and happy the women in that culture are!

I've been studying Goddess cultures ever since I came across archaeologist Gimbutas' "The Goddesses and Gods of Old Europe" in 1996. Over that last 6000 years, part of that matriarchy migrated across the Steppes all the way to NW China, most notably at Kucha, which no doubt has some connection with the Mosuou.
But I must warn the Goddess enthusiasts, that there are two ways to control the behavior of men: sex or violence. Pick one. Many men will not play nice unless motivated with sex.
Tonite, I am uploading some of my work on this issue to http://www.dc-pc.org; hopefully it will be working.
