Erin

Erin, I never met you
Erin, I don't know why
I never got to know you
If I think of it I'll cry

I've always been your mother
You'll always be my child
I was too sick to have you
Now I'm too old to try

I never met your father
I know that it's his loss
That he missed a wife and daughter
as wonderful as us.

Now even if he finds me
I'm not sure that I'll care
And even if we had you
I still might not be there.
