Morgaine-ism #1:

"People's lives would be so much easier if they would just listen to me..."

This is the original "Morgaine-ism". The term comes from an awesome bartender in Philly named Maureen. She was a sort of local celebrity, and I got to know her when I was the Tarot Reader at an infamous Rock and Roll club called J.C. Dobbs. She coined the phrase to describe these several sayings that I have developed over the years to describe my odd little philosophies of life. They may not enlighten, but they will hopefully amuse. And maybe provoke a little thought. Thinking is good.

As to what it actually means... well, you try reading cards for people for over 30 years and have them constantly coming back to you saying "If only I had taken your advice...". It's exasperating to try to help people, then watch them go out and deliberately get in their own way . I suppose this is a somewhat more egocentric way of saying "I told you so", but I promise, my intentions are always good.
